    Nationals GU Baseball

    Hi,

Nationals Wang just made his first hit today.
And the baseball was authenticated by MLB.
Does anyone know how to contact with Nationals person to buy the baseball?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks!
    Li

For a number of years it's been tradition to give the player's first hit to the player. Sometimres, the same is done for a pitcher's first strikeout.

But a cautionary note: As an earlier thread noted, authenticators sometimes identify balls from the game of a player's special hit ( his first hit or a milestone of some kind), as "Game-used baseball. Player X's first MLB hit". This may mislead one into thinking that it's the actual ball when it may be only another ball from that same game. I haven't seen this done lately as authenticators are getting more precise on the history of each ball; but it might still come up.

If you take a look at the game again, you'll notice that the ball was collected and sent back to Nationals dugout.
