    John Cerutti

John Cerutti was a left-handed pitcher from 1985-1991 and later a broadcaster for the Toronto Blue Jays. He wore #55 for his entire career and is famous for recording the first ever Blue Jays win in Skydome. He passed away in 2004 and was memorialized in the "Teammates Forever" patch worn on Jays jerseys in 2005.

For sale is possibly the last ever Major League jersey to bear his name and number 55. In 1993, he was signed by the NY Mets to a minor league contract. He was issued this jersey in the pre-season -- it is a 1993 road jersey; a very unique one-year style jersey with "New York" scripted and underlined across the chest.
