Taylor, an OF/PH for the New York baseball Giants and Detroit Tigers, died September 15 at age 81.
Taylor played for the two ballclubs in a career that spanned 1954-58, splitting 1957 between the two.
After two seasons as a main reserve (120 games in 1954-55), he declined to the point of being an infrequent minor league callup (29 games from 1956-58, only 1 of them in '56).
