I'm not sure if this question has been addressed. I did attempt a search using the search function but could not find any information. I'm a old collector who has been out of the hobby for over 15 years. Even back then, I didnt collect the game used equipment. A recent acquisition has the letter "A" stamped at the bottom of bat. Does anyone know what the "A" signifies. Thanks in advance for the information and for a really great community of collectors.

Re: Game Used Bat Question
I am curious as well. I received a Carlos Pens 2011 M-9 Louisville Slugger, that has a Roman Numeral V stamped in the middle.
Anyone know what it is for?
BMH? I bet he will know. -

Re: Game Used Bat Question
Here is information previously provided by BMH:
The "A" is to designate which type of drying process was used on the Maple. It's technically all Vacuum Dried if it has a "V" or an "A". The A's will be whiter in color and cost more per billet than the V's.Comment

Re: Game Used Bat Question
The A means it is Amish Maple. The A and the V is just a way for them to know the source of the wood. Its for tracking purposes I believe...Comment
