Hideo Nomo memorabilia, autographed and game used has some of the best following in the industry. About 98% of his items I have ever sold have been shipped to Japan - I'm sure a big surprise.

I'll guess in Japan it will fetch $2000.00 USD. Autographed it would be a $5000.00 item. He is a very tough autograph.

I'm convinced that although the bat is rare, that its just a bat
made to be used by Nomo however used by someone else. I have handled
at least a dozen Nomo bats over the years and not once have I seen
pine tar applied that way as well as the taping on the lower handle.
Also the knob being blacked out raised a red flag since all the bats
I remember having had his number written on the knob.
I will admit I did contact the seller to see if the sale went through
since I missed the auction all together but backed out after I did further
research.
I used to collect Nomo big time but most of what I see on the open market
to me are no good.
Back up for sale.

The bat went from Iowa to Akron, Ohio.
I wonder if Hideo ever was in Iowa or Akron.

The OP is the seller.
I'm going to guess "OP" stands for "Original Poster".

Yes Joel, it took me about 4 years to get down with the forum lingo
I'm pretty sure the op doesn't live in an of those states, unless he has moved in the past year.
