not only is it extremely cool, but absolutely instrumental in photomatching jersey's and other memorabilia. Too bad it doesn't go past 2009 season i believe.

Yup, only way I could photomatch my Urlacher and Lewis jerseys from last season. Getty's/AP/others just didn't have good close-up pics of the stains/helmet marks like you could be watching the game and pausing a frame.

Agree, it sucks it's only from 2009-on, but at least it's something!

Does it allow you to pause relatively easily and do a screen capture?

It's at the top of the page under Gamepass. It cost like 40-50 for the whole season. You get to watch games as far back as 2009. I have it also. It's wonderful when your team doesn't broadcast locally. You just have to wait the next day.

JO Sports?! Barney get your gun!!! :p

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't aware of this service. I might have to look into it. I have a connection who gets me HD DVD'ss of Bears games where jerseys I've purchased have been worn but sometimes it's still difficult to get a good clear shot off of a TV screen.

Not high enough quality playing the DVD in your computer and getting screen shots that way?

It works but my TV remote has a frame-by-frame pause and the computer pause isn't that precise. Regardless, I still take 10 shots of 10 different frames and sometimes only get 1 shot that's even usable, and even then it's somewhat blurry.

Here is 1 screenshot taken from Game Rewind. You can be the judge of the clarity. And yes, that service is the shizzy!

There are free online frame-by-frame editing tools that may help maximize the clarity. Years ago, I used a free program to edit some video and tried it out on some old hoops videos. It was an improvement over hitting the pause button, especially when clip is brief.

i do it on my girlfriend's mac book and if i remember correctly its control alt 4 ... a little hashmark should appear and you set the boundary you want for the photo and it should save to the backround the minute you let go of the right mouse click.

for other computers im not sure

On a PC, you have to hit Ctrl+PrtScn then you can save it into a program like Paint

I use a very simple screen capture program called MWSnap 3.
Just google "MWSnap free download" and you'll find it.

Whoa, lighten up sarge.

Don't bother with that crap. My PC doesn't do s#!t when I hit those keys either AND I don't have that wonder of mid-90's technology known as "Paint" either. Dumped that crap a few PC's ago.

Just load the MWSnap program. It's free and too easy.
