Up for sale is a Brian McCann game worn jersey from tonight, 11/11/11. McCann hosted a celebrity softball game to benefit childhood cancer research which included Chipper Jones, Andruw Jones & Phil Niekro (along with tons of minor leaguers). Both Chipper & McCann donated their jerseys to an auction that was running during the game, and they signed both jerseys and I won both. I unfortunately can't afford to keep both so I have to let this one go.

I have tons of photos of McCann wearing this jersey from tonight. Whoever buys it, I will e-mail full-resolution files (or put them on a disc to send with the jersey), and you will have my full permission to print them.

$300 shipped

Unfortunately after taking a close look at my full-resolution photos, I can confirm that this jersey, nor the Chipper Jones jersey that I also purchased were worn during the game. I tried matching the unique mesh patterns and both appear to differ than the pattern seen in my photos.

I will be returning both jerseys to the Rally Foundation and I will inform them that if they sell these jerseys again, they need to be sold as just signed jerseys, and not game worn.

dang that sucks. Let us know what they say when you tell them your on to them. Would like to know why they are selling as game used and not just signed if they were never worn.

I'm not sure why. They did bring the jerseys up after Chipper & McCann stopped playing and both bidding sheets stated game worn, as well as the 3 ladies working the auction told me they were just worn in the game.

They haven't charged my card yet so I'll just ask them to cancel the transaction, and in return I'll sell both jerseys for them on eBay and give them whatever it goes for. This way they don't have to be stuck with 2 signed jerseys not knowing who to sell them to.

The jerseys could've still been worn, that is if they switched jerseys for an inning or so, but I find that unlikely. I checked my images from before the game and during, and they're wearing the same jerseys throughout. It sure is a good thing I decided to bring my camera to the game, otherwise I'd have a Chipper jersey in my collection that isn't legit and another McCann out in the collectors world that isn't what it's supposed to be.

Here's an update to my situation:

It appears that the mistake may have been on my part instead. I got in contact with the foundation and they informed me that the jerseys were indeed game worn and that they were retrieved directly from their agents at the game after taking them off. I decided to spend some more time comparing the jerseys to my photos in photoshop and I believe the angles of my photos have made things a little deceptive, so it appears that the jerseys I bought are indeed real, and game worn. I just didn't spend enough time researching my photos and checking all the different angles.

I'm going to put the jersey up for sale again but I'm going to move it to eBay tonight.
