Two men who began their careers prior to WW2 died in November, both at age 96.

Benny McCoy primarily a second baseman for four years, died November 9. He played for Detroit as a reserve in 1938-39 and as a regular for the Philadelpha A's in 1940-41

Two days later, Nick Strincevich passed away. He was a pitcher who spent most of his career with the Pirates. That stint with the Bucs was bookended by 3 games with the old Boston Bees in 1940 to kick off his MLB career, and 6 games with the Phillies in 1948 to end it.
His two best years were wartime seasons, 1944 and 1945, in which he went 14-7 and 16-10, respectively, tallying a 3.08 ERA in '44 and 3.31 the year after.
