anyone know if this is his personal ebay account?

http://www.ebay.com/sch/lumpywinter/m.html?hash=item256975a025&item=160683106341&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_trksid=p4340.l2562

there seems to be some nice items at auction now.

seems he is auctioning off some stuff for a good cause.

That is indeed Jesse Barfield. He used to go by the eBay name jlbarfield29 until he changed to his current one. I worked with him for 4 years at a baseball facility in Spring,TX.

thanks for verifying this. each of his bat description has this note. I have much respect for what he is doing for his sister.

There comes a time in everyone's life where you have to make sacrifices, and that time has come for me. My sister has had a bout with cancer and, she has had to take some time off work because of all the treatment. But unfortunately life doesn't stop just because we have to. Needless to say she fell way behind and on a school teachers salary she needed help. That's what families do. So I'm selling some of my prized possessions, some of my game used autographed bats. And people that really know me know how much I love my bats. These bats have been part of my personal collection for quite some time now and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Most of them were given to me by the players themselves.
Thanks and "Happy Bidding
Jesse Barfield.

where is it posted on this forum so I can merge the two threads?

very interesting. i have no interest in any of the bats but i thought it would be a good lead for some bat collectors.

i see that the link of the story you provided questions the signature on some of the bats he has sold in the past.

from looking at the amount of purchases of the ebayer, i couldn't believe it was him and that possibly he was consigning the bat thru someone else thus my initial question.

well i hope his sister gets through these tough times.
