1996 Yankee Jersey Questions

I was wondering if someone could tell me a bit about these uniforms. All I know is I have seen this one (Ruben Sierra) and one or two others. I don't know if they were done as a Negro League Tribute or Turn Back the Clock.

Also, does anyone know where to get photos of players in these uni's?

Those jerseys in 1996 were both - a tribute to the old New York Black Yankees as well as TBC. They were worn I believe in June that year, against the Tigers in Detroit ( from memory ). You may want to check getty images to see if there are any pics from that series in 1996. Jim Caravello
