In my opinion, to the best of my knowledge, from a feeling way down deep in my gut, I do not believe this warm up suit is from the NBA's Cincinnati Royals. I think it is from the Cincinnati Bearcats of the NCAA.
PLEASE correct me if I am wrong. I think I hear my photoshop calling my name.

I would like to officially change the title of this thread to:
Cincinnati Royals Warm Up on AMI...Hell's No!

This warm up is from the University of Cincinnati Bearcats, whose team colors have always been red, white and black. Its a nice warm up suit, that I would like for my collection. However, it has been painfully mis-represented.
There is no record of a "Dave" Johnson or "Greg" Johnson EVER playing for the Cincinnati Royals or Kansas City Kings. Cincinnati moved to Kansas City in 1972. The Royals and the Kings wore red, white and blue.
Some unknown "Johnson" obviously played for the Bearcats in the mid 70s. And yes, some colleges used chain-stitched ID tags in warm ups and jerseys.

You are unquestionably correct about that. In fact, I have some 1960's and early 1970's Cincy Bearcats basketball gear (jerseys and shorts) and they are consistent with the warmup offered by AMI. The Sand Knit tagging is correct and the color scheme, including the clown pants design (i.e., the striped pants) is correct for the the late 1960's/early 70's Bearcats. Have you notified AMI? That's a very amateurish mistake in my view. --Steve
