I won the jersey you are referring to it went for a mint but was worth it considering the lack of Ware jerseys on the market if I had to I would have gone even higher. My jersey is from 2010 I believe your helmet is from the same game though you wrote 2009 in your post.

But no, my helmet is a 2009 used against the Raiders and your jersey is the next year against the Saints. From the info I got from Mears, they were both from the same seller though.

Congrats! Great helmet! I was actually the other bidder, ha. I dont have a silver GU helmet yet so I took a small shot. Being a Demarco Murray guy, I just didnt want it that bad. Also, I sent 2 emails asking about it and I never got a response. Anyway, awesome helmet for you, with an equipment bag too right? Nice deal. Is it in your hands yet? If not, post some pics when you get it

Hello,

Great deal on that Felix Jones Helmet (they were selling the bags alone for over $300). Almost 100% sure it was worn for the 2010 season. If you do just a Getty images search for Felix Jones for the 2011 season you will see he is wearing the Schutt Air Advantage II helmet as that helmet has the slot right behind the ear hole (getty image 136236706). This style of Schutt helmet I think is discontinued but a ton of Cowboys players still use it. In 2010 he appears to be using the older style Schutt Advantage shell as the slot behind the ear hole is not present (getty image 107653288). For 2009 (getty image 95449460) he had the extra hole drilled next to the upper chin strap (most Cowboys helmets did that year for some reason)
If you look closely a lot of Cowboys also still use this helmet shell as well (Jason Witten has used the same silver helmet his whole Cowboys career)

as they just recondition the helmet and replace the interior padding each year. Your helmet should have some reconditioning decals inside and could even have a Prova chip as well.

$4,000 is crazy for Witten. Steiner sold the TB last year for $2,000 I believe and then the buyer had it on Ebay for the same price for months.

Hello Cowboy fans! Here is some of my collection.

My pride and joy up to this point with my collection is the game used Jason Witten Throwback jersey from 2006. Lots of game use on this one. I actually bought it for my daughter who absolutely loves Witten. I've also got pictures of a game used Lee Roy Jordan jersey, Roy Williams gamer with pants from 2006, a preseason durene jersey from the early 70's, a 1978 Billy Joe DuPree Pro Bowl jersey, and a beautiful sideline jacket from the late 60's or early 70's.

A fellow collector posted a picture of a 1969 Flowers jersey with patch. Can anyone tell me what this jersey or similar sells for? That is a spectacular jersey!

I just picked this up last week. Supposively Chuck Howleys helmet from his last season. After a little investigation I decided what the hell, and took a shot at it.

Hello,

Sorry for the late response on the helmet, but I am almost positive the helmets are cleaned and repaired after each game, taking a lot of the surface wear off in the process. I have had seven Cowboys game helmets over the years and none really showed a ton of exterior use (face mask scuff marks, paint transfers, scrathces, etc.). The center stripes are usually replaced each game and cut just above the dymo tape (like you helmet). Also they are painted 'Cowboys blue' and though they appear silver if you had two side by side you can see the blue in the paint. The repainting of the helmets produce a visible buildup mostly on the chin pad rivets and the rear raised safety seal as well. I would check the final game of the 2010 season (play off game against the Eagles) to see if any of the marks can be seen in that game.

I hope this helps and glad you got that helmet for your collection. I hope this thread keeps growing.

Did not mean that they are repainted after each game, just that after each actual reconditioning you can notice the build up of paint over an original new helmet. In fact the only game helmet I have ever seen where this is not the case was a Terell Owens Cowboys helmet which still had the silver rivets on the jaw pads. It is a great helmet as well and someone on this forum has (had) it.

Give them a call Jay. They have most of the throwback jerseys and helmets from 2011 Thanksgiving and a few other various gamers. Im pretty sure the premium player jerseys (Romo, Witten, Bryant, etc.) are already gone. Doesnt hurt to ask though. Ive heard Panini steps in pretty early to start their wonderful jersey chopping process. Steiner uses a lotto system for the premium guys. If they have one you want, get on the list, they draw names, and winner pays the set price. Pretty sure someone from Panini gets on every list. The lotto was today at noon.

Thats probably a good thing. Lotto prices were no less than 2500. I only got in on the DeMarco Murray after my rep sent me pics of the jersey. It was beaten and beautiful so I had to do it (only 2nd Murray jersey to hit the market too)I know the winner so it will have a good home and I saved $2500! I wonder who will have the next Cowboys contract....

The difference in face mask puts it to that game.
Whats the tagging on the practice jersey, I have the same one from

Thx. This trio is all from Steiner. Im pretty sure this helmet was worn in every game in 2011 besides Thxgiving day, not just against the Giants. I do have a great photomatch from that Giants game but theres no way this much damage could happen from just 1 game. I have great photomatches through Getty all the way back to their first game against the Redskins in Sept., using the heavy multiple scratches. Ive never seen a helmet this scarred up.

The jersey a 10-48 with holes and heavy wear. Im out of town but I will get you some flat pics when I get back in.

I thought I was only buying the helmet from Steiner. It was quite a nice surprise that Steiner threw in his practice jersey and equipment bag. My Steiner rep is great!

To tell you the truth I didnt even pay attention to the facemask. Just noticed it after you pointed it out. Good eye. That wouldve been a bummer if I couldnt match those scratches! I guess he switched his facemask to gear up for that big last game against the Giants. Anyway, I really havent found anything as far as a match for the practice jersey. Post some pics of your Lee jersey. I post a few Monday when I get in town.

Tagging on mine is 06-50 which worried me at first, but my rep assured me
that it was his from the 2011 season. The pic was the closest i could get to a photo match, which was dated 8/1/11. The right shoulder marks line up pretty good to the picture when i put the jersey on pads.

Tagging on mine is 06-50 which worried me at first, but my rep assured me
that it was his from the 2011 season. The pic was the closest i could get to a photo match, which was dated 8/1/11. The right shoulder marks line up pretty good to the picture when i put the jersey on pads.

No, it wasn't washed, but some of the dirt stains have faded or are just gone at this point. If you zoom in on my pics you can see the wear on the front and back. The shoulders both have decent paint transfers.

My Aaron Rodgers jersey lost all the dirt on it in a matter of months. I was randomly looking at pics I took when I bought it and I was very surprised by that.

Yes that was the only time they wore the blues in 2011. The Romo is actually tagged 10-50. Per Mike McCord Cowboys equipment manager, the Dallas Cowboys generally only order 2 blue jerseys for each player and only wear 1 for the limited games they wear the blue jerseys during the season. Many of the blue jerseys are used the next year as well. The Witten I posted is an 07 and used in every game they wore the blues in 08.

Cowboys4ever, nice Spencer, I hope the Cowboys keep him long term. As for Felix, nice jersey but he can pack his bags, Ha! I didnt really have the money for the Romo either but the seller worked with me on a plan and it was well worth it. The Romo is definitely my grail.

Well it depends on the player obviously. I'm looking to sell my Demarcus ware jersey and looking to get around $3500 for it. But you can get low level players for a few hundred. Helmets usually at a minimum go for $300-400.

Most companies get equipment at the end of the season. I assume you know what happened with JO so I don't need to warn you.

There was a company that was preselling cowboy jerseys before the season but I couldn't tell you what their name was.

Any big name player is going to command big time money. This is like any other hobby, you want the high end stuff it's going to cost you.

I have always HATED the Cowboys but do have a few TO Cowboys game worn items.

TO game worn Cowboys uniforms (jersey and pants):

2006 away photo matched Cowboy blue uniform worn vs the Redskins on 11/5/2006. Nice use with numerous hits, yellow field paint transfers and jersey customizations. TO used cloth tape to tighten each sleeve which is still present. Jersey is hemmed short with elastic waist plus has been taken in on the shoulder area bilaterally. Pants also show nice use with the same yellowish field paint transfer marks. Both have the "Provo Group" stickers and the jersey is dated 06 in the neck. The jersey has a Cowboys LOA from "Game Exclusives" as well.

2008 home white uniform with Steiner LOA. Worn vs the New York Giants on 12/14/2008. Jersey has nice use and multiple customizations. It has the same shoulder customizations as his 2006 away shirt and is also hemmed short. Pants show nice use and both have Provo Group stickers. The jersey also has a Steiner sticker.

Always buying 49er game worn items and ALL 1994 49er gamers. Paying a finders fee of up to 500$ for information leading to a sale.

As of now, I dont think anyone has a Cowboys contract. AllPro Classics was supposed to be the Cowboys GU dealers for 2012 but Im not too sure what happened.... The last Steiner price list for 2011 jerseys for the top tier players was $3500 for Romo and Witten, $2500 Ware, Austin, Murray. FYI, Witten is probably the rarest jersey to get so Im guessing hes gonna be upwards of $4000, especially after the record breaking season he just had.

It's mostly Cowboys game used jerseys I have. Just got the one helmet, a 2010 Manuel Johnson #15 game used helmet. I have photomatched it and will post pictures soon. I am trying to find out more info on it, as the Cowboys have recycled the helmet and it has #10 and #21 written inside, plus a Prova Group decal and a Dallas Cowboys barcode decal also. All very intriguing as to what players used the helmet before Manual Johnson used it in 2010!

Here we have my #40 Dallas Cowboys Throwback game used 11-46 jersey, worn by Cowboys safety and former LSU Tiger, Danny McCray.

McCray wore this jersey for the 20-19 Thanksgiving game win, against Miami, at Cowboys Stadium, on the 24th of November 2011.

The jersey shows some excellent use and I have photomatched it using both game wear and unique stitching patterns on the seams.

The jersey is available for sale and I will post details in the Classifieds section.

The Bethea wrap-around collar was supposedly axed in 1964, but I've seen pics of Bob Lilly where he continued to use it. Never knew Bethea did, however.

As someone already mentioned, the white collars were only used in '79 and '80.

Thanks for the info. I previously checked out Highland Mint's website (and again today) and all I see on there are commemorative coins and different things. Perhaps they have sold out all of the game used gear?

I dont believe there were any companies that recieved 2012 Cowboys gear. All Pro Classics was supposed to but their contract fell through. The only items I saw available last year were through NFL Auctions and a guy on Ebay that seems to get a few good things locally.

I think Highland Mint will be working directly through the Cowboys and they do have a few items. They had a Dez Bryant gamer a few months back for $7000. Your best bet is to contact a Rep for Highland and not worry about the website.

Thanks, did some research on dalcowbill and seems while he has some good, he also has some bad. I think these Vanderbeek jerseys may be in the bad. I opened a paypal case to be safe but want to give benefit of the doubt if the team did for some reason use a different font for some players.

Oh yeah, absolutely. It's going to be interesting to see if Morris Claiborne can win his starting position back from Scandrick this coming year. Scandrick was really the only corner with some solid consistency in his play and was Dallas' quickest corner in coverage.

Here's my photomatched navy game used Nike jersey, worn by former starting safety #43 Gerald Sensabaugh during the 19-14 win against the Carolina Panthers on the 21st of October 2012. Sensabaugh had 5 combined tackles in the game, 3 solo and 2 assisted. With the switch to Nike equipment in 2012, the Carolina game was the first game the Cowboys wore navy blue Nike game jerseys. The jersey is date tagged 2012 and is a size 40 and is a “L-BK” cut. The jersey shows light use. These new navy Nike jerseys are really thick, tough and stiff when compared to the previous Reebok game jerseys.

I am actually looking to sell the jersey. This is a recent acquisition to my Cowboys collection, but a Cowboys grail item has caught my eye, hence the sale of this Sensabaugh game jersey to free up some funds. You can see all the details of the jersey in the classifieds section on the forum.

Here is my white Nike #24 Morris Claiborne game jersey. It's tagged a size 38 and dated 2012 and is an “L-BK” cut. The jersey has been shortened and elasticated to Claiborne's chosen game spec. It was issued for game use to Morris Claiborne and comes with a letter of authenticity from the Dallas Cowboys. The letter confirms that the jersey was issued to Claiborne and is signed by Tim Burkhart who is the Chief Operating Officer for the Dallas Cowboys.

I have overspent recently on additions to my Dallas Cowboys collection. So with an expensive family vacation imminent, I have decided to let one of my game jerseys go, to free up some extra funds, so this Claiborne is available for sale. I'm hoping maybe you Dallas collectors here can help with two values, roughly... both 2010 home white jerseys with the anniversary patches, both used in multiple games and both with good use.

One is Anthony Spencer with multiple repairs, one is Tashard Choice, don't remember offhand about repairs.

These are my only two game used football jerseys, but I'm probably going to stick to baseball and before I post these up (preferably here if applicable), I'd rather go in knowing a ballpark fair price. I don't see much at all of Spencer jerseys other than some too-high asking prices for issued ones on eBay.. you can email me gaadrabin@gmail.com if you don't want to post anything publically.
