Did any player of note wear number "26"?
No flag tag, no sign of a name being removed or ever applied.

Location of the Rawlings tag would date it to pre-1982.

Thanks, Dave. Where was the tag after 1982? In the collar? I was unaware of this variation.

For teams supplied by Rawlings that employed tail tagging, 1982 saw a switch of tag placement from on (or inside) the right front tail to on (or inside) the left front tail.

Boog Powell wore #26 in the early 1970s, but a Rawlings home knit of his I owned 20+years ago was a size 50.

Thanks, Dave. Do all Orioles shirts from the era have a name on back?

They would; appears to be a salesman sample

Is it possible that it was used by a minor league? It does have characteristics of game use.

thank-you
