Who Pays $2,000 for Nettles

Really someone is willing to pay $2,000 for a Nettles bat because a letter say's it's a 10. That is crazy. I asked about a realistic price, cause the 1977/78 era ones sell for around $300 and someone offered more. Just blows my mind.

Here are a couple ...including the rare Cooper Graig Nettles "Craig" error bat... but I'm guessing the value to be a little south of $ 2000

I'd pay $2,000 for a Rafael Palmeiro game used HR Orioles jersey (photomatched). So I guess it really depends on the collector and how bad they want the item.
