got this mentioned on Uni Watch today, I noticed this while looking at old Steelers footage and it was the first time I'd ever seen an original Pittsburgh Pirates NFL logo (pre-Steelers name change) and then I was quickly able to locate a pennant on ebay. Note the tilt on the skull/bones and the general shape of the hat, mustache, and the knife in the mouth, they certainly match up even given the typical inconsistencies of the period. I actually think these pennants are easy to find, nobody knows what they are. Not sure how many pennant collectors are on here but I'm sure you can pick one of these up pretty easily!
