Need help enlarging this photo without losing quality

I recently purchased a massive Alabama collection and part of the collection was Mark Ingrams Pro Combat jersey and gloves that he wore against Mississippi State in 2010. I was wanting to match the gloves definitively but I am unable to blow up the photos of him displaying the gloves without losing the quality. Wondering if anyone could please assist me. I'm guessing everyone will ignore me on this as they usually do when it involves photography and wait for Kyle Hess to respond and say the same thing. But I'll say it anyway... You cannot add resolution to a file. Any attempt to enlarge this file will only result in spreading the existing pixels and will not increase size with same or better quality of appearance. In other words, the bigger it gets the less sharp it will appear because you are just making each existing pixel larger.

Your better bet be would be to seek out a larger file of the photo. You may be able to find the photographer's name and request a larger copy of the file for you personal use.

Good advice. Though I'm not sure how much better it's going to get; the gloves don't look tack sharp to begin with.

I wasn't going to chime in as im far from an expert, but what if you printed out that photo and then re-scanned it at a higher resolution, would this work?

are you a photoshop user? if so, genuine fractal does a great job imo - there's also a couple of free online interpolation programs that claim to be just as good or better than gf when it comes to image resizing/enlarging....
