Selling one of my Gwynn bats. A very nice '86-'89 Louisville C263, matching his shipping records. This was Tony's model of choice during this era. This uncracked bat shows outstanding use, with concentrated ball and seam marks on the right barrel, along with bat rack and cleat marks. The bat is uncracked and has tape running up the entire handle. There is a layer of pine tar over the tape. Tony experimented with quite a few variations of tape during the late '80's before settling on his patented tape job in the early to mid '90's. There is a slightly faded period signature on the left barrel, dating to 1989, along with the inscription "N.L. Batting Champion 1984, 87,88 &89". Gwynn's #19 is written on both ends of the bat.
Legit Gwynn Louisville's from the 80's have dried up over the years, here is a nice example for an affordable price.
