Hi guys,
Can anyone who owns a "bumblebee" Pirates pinstriped Descente jersey email me when you get a chance? I'm considering a 1979 bumblebee Pirates jersey that needs the NOB restored (like many do from that season). What concerns me is that the twill that Descente used on their jerseys is a lot different than what a restorer has on hand to use. If it's a little different than what a restorer has, then it's not a big issue to me, as I know that this problem inherently arises with restorations. However, I'm a bit more wary if Descente used a drastically different type of twill. Consequently, I'm looking for a good description of the twill that Descente used on these Pirates jerseys from this era. Was it a lot different than the twill used by manufacturers such as Rawlings or Wilson? My email is woodward30@yahoo.com. Thanks for any help.
