Well I'm a huge Cleveland Indians fan, and I went to the game tonight against the Kansas City Royals, who were on a 12 game skid. Me and my buddies sat in right field and got talking to Jeff Francouer (Kansas City's RF) throughout the game... Well after holding a conversation with him almost the whole game literally... I ran over to the dugout and yelled to him and he looked at me and said "I got ya" and came out from the dugout, with a cracked bat and handed it to me!!! I freaked out like a little kid, mind you im 24 years old! hahaha I thanked him over and over again! Haven't got any pictures of it yet, but when I do I will be sure to post! So excited, I still have an adrenaline rush! Thank you guys for listening to my rant!

Re: First Success in this addicting hobby!
My wife and I saw Francoeur as a Braves' rising rookie at spring training in a Vero Beach game versus the Dodgers. He was great with the fans, signing zillions of autographs graciously.
It's great to see somebody who's also been so popular with the ladies, and so successful, still be modest enough to be kind to others. Congratulations on a wonderful experience.Comment

Francoeur will always be great to his fans; that's never changed since he left the Braves. He always signed for everyone in the stadium and in the player parking lot all the time. He'll definitely go down as one of the nicest!kylehess941@hotmail.com

Glad you were successful. Francoeur is a great guy. Its a shame they aren't all that fan friendly.
Way to go.

Re: First Success in this addicting hobby!
Awesome story.
I still have the first bat given to me. 1977-79 Glenn Borgmann LS from Spring Training 1978. I was sitting behind home plate watching BP and he walked up and handed me the bat!Comment
