    New to the Forum

Hi guys. My name is Patrick and I have been a long time viewer of the site and I finally decided to join. I am a die-hard Orioles fan despite the 14 straight losing seasons. I am an avid collector of Memorial Stadium and Camden Yards memoribilia and am starting to dab into game used stuff a little bit. Among my items are the following:

2011 Orioles Game Used Base from Last Series Against the Red Sox
2011 Nolan Reimold Flanny Patch Orioles Game Used Jersey
2009 Nolan Reimold Rookie Game Used 100th Anniversary Louisville Bat
2008 George Sherrill Signed All Star BP Jersey Game Issued
2007 Zack Clark Delmarva Shorebirds Harley Davidson Signed Game Used Jersey

I am looking forward to posting more on the site and possibly doing business with some of you.

Welcome to our world. The way they're going so far, maybe the O's will stop their losing seasons streak at the current 14.

Welcome to our forums! You probably know a lot about Baltimore MLB history, but for others here are a few historical trivia:

The current Orioles were the St. Louis Browns until they moved in 1954. The Browns won the 1944 AL pennant, but lost that World Series to the Cardinals (!). All the games were played in the same stadium, which the clubs shared.

The Yankees were originally the Baltimore Orioles from 1901-2, as an orginal member of the AL. That Baltimore franchise was essentially dead when its remaining stockholders were bought out and the franchise moved to become the Yankees in 1903. The new NYC owners paid the AL $18,000 for the rights to move the franchise and found the Yankees.

There have been Baltimore MLB clubs in all attempted major leagues, including the old American Association (1880's), not connected to the minor-league AA of recent times; the Union Association (1884); the National League (1892-99); and the Federal League (1914-15). All these major leagues except the NL flopped before stability was achieved with the success of the AL as a second ML.

Cool history lesson there. Ive always found it ironic that the team I hate the most use to be the Baltimore Orioles. Ill try to get some pictures posted tomorrow.
