I have been trying for quite some time to find a Dwight Evans game worn jersey (not a BP jersey) and see that there is one listed in the current Grey Flannel auction:
http://catalog.greyflannelauctions.com/LotDetail.aspx?lotid=27712&searchby=0&searchvalue=None&page=0&sortby=0&displayby=2&lotsperpage=ALL&category=63&seo=1984-Dwight-Evans-Boston-Red-Sox-Game-Used-Home-Jersey

What do people think? As far as I can tell, the tagging all looks good. My one concern is that whereas the laundry tag looks like it has gone through quite a bit of washing, the uniform numbers don't seem to show too much wash wear at all (which I concede might merely be because the photo of the back of the jersey isn't as clear or as close up as of the photo of the laundry tag).

A Dwight Evans jersey is as close to a holy grail as I have, but I certainly don't want to get burned.

Thanks in advance,
Robert

I'd have to have it in hand to inspect to be sure, but the pictures look promising.

Thanks Dave, really appreciated! What, if anything beyong wash wear, would you be looking for if you had the jersey in hand?

Among other things, stitch stroke on the inside of the numbers and RED SOX lettering to ensure that no number changes nor restorations were done.

Thanks once again Dave! That is very useful insight. Could you send me a PM at: shendesi at yahoo dot com?

I have another couple of questions.

Thanks,
Robert
