It's really sad to have these important looking tickets, and they're useless...

But that doesn't mean they should fire Joe Torre. But that's for another discussion.

    Re: You Are All Jealous

Had the Yankees gone, I would have been real jealous. That would have been awesome for a potential Subway Series.

If you ever want Torre or Jeter to sign them, let me know!!!

I was hoping to unveil to the Forum the HomePlate from Yankee Stadium that I bought from Jeter's 2000th hit earlier this season in hopes this would be a World Series victorious year!

    On to 2007!!!!

      Trade Jeter.

I think Jim Caple is on to something here..

Jeter a leader? (when have you heard him stick up for A-rod)

If anyone knows where I can get Joe Torre to sign a few items I would appreciate it. I have two tickets, a program, and a foul ball hit by Bernie Williams in the 6th innning from when Torre got his 1000th Win as Yankee manager in Texas earlier this season

I always felt O'Neill was the leader of the late 90's Yankees. I didn't like when during those years if someone hit a homerun Jeter would jump out of the dugout waving a towel around and clapping front and center. A-Rod comes to the Yankees, chenges his position to third, and despite whatever problems he has with other players -is treated like crap from the fans and unsupported from the supposed captain. And during the disputed call at third no one came over to argue with him-just left him there alone. You leave him to dry you hurt yourselves.

I have to agree with your observation. Worse than that is how his teammate Giambi treated him. We don't know what happens behind closed doors so I wonder if there are other issues here.

Everyone is looking for a scapegoat so it will be interesting to see what happens. Now that the Yankees have him and the big salary---it may be tough to trade him anywhere anyway.

Cano, Giambi, Sheffield, ARod, Bernie, and others----they all batted under their weight this Playoffs so there is plenty of blame to go round.

As hard as it is to say, ARod is a cancer to the Yankees and a doesn't fit the mold of a team player. Granted, as Andrew pointed out, there was plenty of blame to go around after this terrible ALDS loss to the Tigers.

However, guys from the 1998 team - Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, Tino Martinez, David Cone...they had the heart and desire to go out and win ballgames. What do we have now? ARod, Sheffield, Johnson and other multi million dollar whiners.

I'm a huge Yankee fan, make no mistake about it, but it really says something when other AL teams with great chemistry and solid lineups (Tigers and A's) are still here when the Yankees aren't. In fact, the A's of this year remind me a lot of the 1998 Yankees. As for us Yankee fans, let's hope our team rights the ship in 2007 and give Joe Torre a World Series championship in the last year of his contract!

                Eric,

I have the full run of those now useless ducats.

After all is said and done, however, I'm jealous of the Yankees. They now have the float from my postseason ticket payment until next season.

I loathe and detest the Yankee$.
Watching them lose to the Tigers was a thing of beauty.
Watching them (and their new, improved $300 million payroll) lose in the first round next year will be even sweeter.
They are a cancer on the sport, and the number one argument for a greater degree of revenue sharing.
