Fortunately, no one has bid so far, and time is almost up, but there's a jersey described as a 1987 Blue Jays game worn Tony Fernandez shirt that is anything but.

The strip tag shown above uses a numerical embroidery font inconsistent with a normal Toronto gamer of the era. While Fernandez isn't too much of a big deal today, back then he was considered a top player on the Jays. Also, circa 1987, the Blue Jays were arguably the toughest team in baseball from which to find game-used attire of in the hobby market.

Dave - completely agree with your assessment. The jersey is laughable - the embrodiery of the strip tag is WAY OFF.

I spent years finding a game-worn Fernandez from the mid 80s and finally a nice game-worn road Fernandez from 1985. Blue Jays jerseys from the mid-80s are nearly impossible to find.

Meant to say that I finally found a nice 1985 game-worn Fernandez last year from a forum member.
