Art Malone, a RB in the NFL from 1970-76 after a great 3-year career at Arizona State, died last Friday of unannounced causes. He was 64.
Malone was drafted by the Falcons with a 2nd round pick in 1970, and played for the Falcons through 1974. He finished up in 1975-76 with the Eagles.
His best year was 1972, when he set career highs in attempts (180), yards (798) and TDs (8).
