Set 3 Tagged, question..

When you have a gamer jersey that is a "set 3" does it mean that it probably wasn't used as much as the sets 1 & 2? Or does it mean it's a little different style than sets 1&2? I have a Johnny Bench 1980 set 3 jersey and was wondering if anybody could shed some light on it. Thanks in advance.

my only set 3 is a catchers jersey also. i think the position makes the shirt more vulnerable to more abuse than a position player. coincidently mine happens to be a cincy alex trevino Jeff
