    '61 Willie Mays on Pawnstar

    $31k is the final offer.

Just one thing that bother me, why did the owner clean-press the uniform? And finally, Chumlee said something that makes sense - why is this jersey all dirty?

I doubt they actually bought that uniform, it's reality TV. This guy was on Antiques Roadshow a few months back with this uniform. Here is the link.

"This doesn't look game-worn. Willie Mays was a bad ass. He was sliding around in the dirt and the grass. I'd imagine there'd be a bunch of stains on it." Classic Chum!

By no means am I an expert on Giants jerseys, but does anyone else find it odd that "Willie" is spelled out in the jersey and pants..was there another Mays on the team? I looked back at several same year Giants jerseys from prior auctions and didn't see any others w/ the first name spelled out. Jay

There were occasions during the flannel era where first maes were used on NIC or NIT tags...it wasn't common, but it did happen.

The Willie Mays uniform remains on the wall at the Pawn Stars shop.

I've seen that hanging in the background in some recent episodes....what are they asking for it?

I hate to admit it, but I didn't even look at the price sticker!
