    If you look at past sales, the same seller has actually sold a number of these for various items and players (Jeter, Rivera, Posada, Ortiz, etc)... I can understand the seller's position as the signature has value obviously, but I thought I read somewhere that ebay doesn't allow the sale of LOA/COAs without an item for the obvious reason.

      Tis true. If he wanted to sell the autograph, he cold cut it out including the Steiner hologram next to it.

        There was a similar discussion about a Stan Musial signed autograph LOA. The opinion was either a disclaimer should be placed on the LOA or the signature cut out. They agreed selling a stand alone LOA was not a good idea.

          Duly note that Musial sells his own autographs and includes his personally signed LOA with the ball, photo or whatever.
