View Full Version : Posada pre rookie game used Jersey, any help?

Dear Members of the forum I am just curious if anyone can help me with this. I am not saying the seller is selling a fake or real jersey. Maybe he knows, maybe he doesn't.

I have made the seller aware of my feelings and opinions and his response back to me was that he was offered this Jersey from the clubhouse attendant and they told him it was worn by Posada.

I find it a little hard to believe but anything is possible so I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light or if they had any documentation / photos showing Posada wearing #20??

Yes I am asking because I am interested in the Jersey if it is what its said to be, but I just dont see how it could be.

Posada was known to wear #15 with the Clippers. In a recent Auction a Home Game used Jersey sold of Posadas that was #15 and on his Columbus Clippers Baseball card it says he wore #15. When joining the Yankees Posada didnt even start wearing #20 till it was like his 3rd season. He started with #62 #41 #55 #22

wouldnt the jersey have a 125th anniversary patch if its from 1994.

if its 1995 this roster says he wore (#15 see pic)

so probably not.

also the player bubba carpenter who wore #20 in 1995 was on the columbus roster the year before.

Is that a fact that Minor Leagues also wore the 125th annv patch in 1994? I am asking because I do not know.

While it would seem plausible for Carpenter to wear #20 in 94 since he wore it in 95. Minor League players change numbers from season to season all the time.

i believe some minor league team honored the mlb by using this patch. yes you can see it even on posada's 1994 minor league card. even on arod's calgary 1994 uniform.

very true on changing number.

so my assumption here is that this would have to be a posada 1995 uniform and he wore 15 according to the roster.
