Here are a couple of pictures from the Louisville Slugger factory of them making the World Series bats. I would like to have one of those Pujols bats.

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
Great photo! From my experience with the 2005 Astros, very few of these ever get used in the actual World Series. I purchased a Chris Burke bat a few weeks before the end of the 2006 season that was a 2005 World Series bat. Most of the time, these end up with the rest of the "normal" bats.
For Pujols, I have noticed he has been using LS M9 bats with a finish in the playoffs. Jeff Scott could probably tell us if he has discerned anything from tracking Pujols.
On a side note, does LS still make LCS bats for the guys. I haven't seen one in some time. I know Rawlings still makes them and designates as such on the knob stampings.

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
I'm certain Jeff Scott knows more than I, but most of Albert's success at the plate this postseason seems to have come using natural Sam bats. In fact, I think he used the same Sam bat in both Game 1 and Game 2 of the World Series. The ball marks always look black on camera, but I'm certain they'd have a gold shimmer to them if you were examining the bat in person. I have one of Albert's 2004 World Series bats with many gold ball marks on the barrel (that also appear black from a distance).
Has anyone else noticed Pudge using the World Series bats?
It will be interesting to see what hits the market once the Series ends...

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
We bought several of the 2004 Cardinals and Red Sox run of LS World Series bats and most of those bats showed no use. Some of them had bat rack marks.
I tried photo matching and the barrel lettering was too small to read.
They still make great collectibles!!!Comment

Seems like he has been using the blonde SAM bats.Comment

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
I have some of the White Sox 2005 World Series bats that I won in the recent Lelands auction. None show use or player numbers on the knob/barrel end. A few have rack marks while others are mint.

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
Here's the rundown on Albert's post-season bats (so far):
Division series
G1 -- Black Sam
G2 -- Black Sam (1st plate appearance), then natural Sam
G3 -- Natural Sam
G4 -- Natural Sam
League Championship
G1 -- Natural Sam
G2 -- Natural Sam (1st and 2nd PA), then natural Old Hickory
G3 -- Natural Old Hickory
G4 -- Black Old Hickory
G5 -- Black Old Hickory (1st PA), then natural Sam
G6 -- Natural LS M9
G7 -- Natural LS M9
World Series
G1 -- Natural LS M9 (1st PA), then natural Sam
G2 -- Natural Sam
During the regular season, Albert used a natural LS M9 during just 30 plate appearances (5% of total PA). The "5" on the knob has been both large and small on his M9 bats this season. The smaller "5" was accompanied by a length/weight notation.
The M9 he used in early April split into two pieces after 6 PA. The M9 he used for 3 PA in September also cracked. The other 21 natural M9 plate appearances were in August. He may have used up to 4 different M9 bats in this 21 PAs, based on the pine tar and ball mark patterns and the different sized numbers I observed on the knobs. Overall, I'm assuming Albert swung six different natural M9 bats during the regular season.

Re: Albert Pujols World Series Bats
I didn't have the Pujols WS bat from 2004, but several of the other unused bats I had from the Cardinals and Red Sox sold for $400 to $800. I would certainly think with Albert's popularity it would eclipse those $$$$.
I just picked up from the loser's side this game used Magglio Ordonez which I photomatched to Game 4 and it had the 2006 World Series stamp on the barrel.
