As I just came across this news unfortunately it is long over due and much of us as we appreciate baseball there is more factors to the history of baseball of men playing the game but in a time of need of war and entertainment, the WOMEN stepped up to the plate. (pun intended)
Doris was one of the biggest players during that time and has passed away this year. We should all take a moment to reflect the history of our beloved game and the women should be recognized of applying themselves to our history.
