It's becoming an epidemic....items from my watchlist are ending early on a regular basis now. I realize that it's a seller's prerogative to end an auction early, but I have always found it unethical to ask sellers to end auctions early and have never done it. It's something I might have to reconsider if this keeps up. It happens far more often with cards than it does with equipment and memorabilia, but I thought this was a nice lot.

I wouldn't feel to bad. The buyer probably paid $100 or more, which is more than the lot was worth.

I would have gladly paid $100 for the lot just to get the Draper & Maynard baseball.

The seller had emailed me and told me that the ball was not a D&M out of the blue. I did not ask any questions while the auction was running. Maybe it will be relisted? I was interested in the bats myself.

Bummer, I've been in that boat before. The bright side is something better will come along and you'll have the money saved for it. I myself have had a problem of coming in second alot lately:(

That's weird Bill. Did you have a bid in on the lot at the time? At some point either someone emailed him or he found out on his own that the LS 125 bat was a Harry Heilmann bat and not a "Larry Lehmann". Ahh well.

I emailed the seller about the clumpy tape and they indicated it felt like there were nails under it (the kiss of death for bats)

Never made contact during or after auction. Had a few bids in there though.

Is it my eyes or does the Adirondack bat have the label going opposite than normal?

Your eyes are fine. It's a reverse label bat.
