Is this Prince Fielder bat a gamer?

    Hi All,

I was hoping to get some help with this Prince Fielder bat. It looks like all the right markings except on the handle instead of the usual date and length/weight impressed markings it has an impressed 1139. I was reading Birdbats.com website about a short time frame in 2009 that they did use a similar code. Is this what I have? and it was made November 3rd 2009?

    Thanks for your help
    Eric

Yup. But my guess would be 1/13/09

BMH reported sometime in 2008/2009 the bat laser engraver was down. So a bunch of bats where made by hand date stamping.

Actually, 2008 they did not date bats so the dat on that bat may be for 11/3/09....who knows?

Thanks for the replies everyone. The website I was looking at states

"Because of an equipment malfunction, a date stamp was used for a few weeks during late summer of 2009 before the laser process was revived."

Which is why I thought it could be November is it normal for a player to order bats in November?

          Thanks again
