I do not now the seller but I do know that Bo never wore a jersey like he is selling in a game. Bo is my favorite player and I have studied his career. His size was 46 and the Raiders used Sandknit while he played. His sleeves were regular length in his early career and he cut them off in his latter years, never the tapered thing. He never wore the dazzle cloth shoulders. The entire jersey was mesh with double material in the shoulder area. You can see real Bo gamers in the Auburn Athletic Museum at the University.

Roger-

Great info. Being a Bo Jackson master, can you email your info to the seller and see what he says. Perhaps it's an honest mistake and he'll have a chance to fix it.

Thanks Roger, Bo is also my favorite player....I have friends who work for the team who have helped me with these issues in the past ...it's cool that I can run things by them and this board....the seller is Steve M from authentic sports or at least he is the one who first offered me the jersey

Interesting side note the baseball hall of fame has Bo's raider jersey and believe it or not that is a sand knit size 42 inside the collar tagging and designed exclusively for the la raiders tagging

Just wanted to reply to the threads about the Bo Jackson jersey. I am the consigner of the jersey, and having it posted by Hendog due to his game used experience on ebay. Hendog is not Steve M, and he couldn't have offered it to anyone as he doesnt have the jersey, unless Hen offered it to him and he in turn offered it. As for the size, I can only go from the research I have done with other gamers of Bo that have hit the market. Here is a link to 4 of them authenticated by Lou Lampson. http://www.100percentauthentic.com/CertList.asp?SearchStr=Bo+Jackson

Half of them are 44's and half 48's. None 42 or 46's. One has arms shortened out of the group. Again i dont know of his tendencies with that, just saw that they had them. Since it came from the collection of a deceased prominant scout, I have no reason to believe that it is anything but what it was described to me as. As for the shimmer cloth, all of these seem to have it. Bo did not give me this personally so I guess anything is up for debate, I am just trying to provide as much accurate info as possible. One of the 48's was even authenticated by Bo in person and signed it GAMER.

To be fair and see if what I said was acurate, I contacted a aquaintance that I have known for years who has great knowledge and the best collection of Raider items I know. By his account, is friends with Romo, the Raiders equipment manager at his time. I ask him about Bo and Marcus Allen. He says;
Sand Knit was the supplier 87-90 when Bo played. In 91 Wilson became the supplier and they were under contract with Wilson in 92.
Bo's size was 46. Early jerseys had full length sleeves. The last couple years he cut them. Some were hemmed some were not, just cut. Mesh shoulders, just like the Raider quarterback jerseys. Some are tagged in the collar and some on the tail. They will state MacGregor Sand-Knit 46 with a large gold crown. Both have the exclusive LA Raider tag

Marcus Allen size was Sand Knit 42 & Wilson 44. Both had full sleeve length and were tailored tight around the waist.

After looking at all the pictures I have, I can find no instance where the shoulders were the dazzle cloth on Bo. Sleeves seem to be as stated above. I found no Raider pictures of Allen in short sleeves.

Maybe the source could shed some light on these jerseys. I have a open mind on the subject.

Photos of the Bo jersey for sale by hendog1818 on eBay now, nylon knit "dazzle cloth" shoulders:

The only photos I could find of Bo from the time period have MESH shoulders. Of course, I don't have access to all game photos of Bo from the late 80s-early 90s. Bo Jackson's and Lou Lampson's authenticator status is open for debate. I also believe Sand-Knit Raiders jerseys from this time have a Cutom distributor tag from a Sporting Goods Store in San Rafael, CA...I forget the name.

Hello all, I figured I might also shed some light on this Bo subject. First I WAS offered both this bo jersey and a marcus one by Steve Misturini from authentic sports before they were posted on ebay. I have the emails if HENDOG would like to see these...

Second I do have several connections with the team and have several hundreds of photos of BO.....can't say that I can see the dazzle cloth shoulders....

Third I have a jersey given to me by the team, which was to be Bo's last jersey..Size 46 Mesh shoulders

Fourth I also know Romo and Roger is correct in his specs on Bo's jersey.

I agree.... more details need to be seen about this jersey
