    Mannequin Torso Stands for Jerseys?

I was hoping to display a few of my game used jerseys on mannequin torsos, and was hoping I could get some recommendations.

    Best website to purchase from?
    Best pricing?
Best style and build options for different player sizes?

    Thanks and happy holidays.

I think all the "life is good" stores are going out of business. The local one here is selling all fixtures, they had full size ones on stands for 200 and bodies for 50. I have no idea is these are good prices, but I did notice them and told my wife that people on my sports board love to get these.

Check out your local Craigslist, I've gotten two torsos with stands for 25 each.

You can also check store fixture places. You can find good store mannequins for cheap there.

Me personally, I've always used inflatable mannequins and actually prefer these over the store mannequins. The body form looks better on a jersey IMO

Because shipping is relatively expensive, I have used Craigslist. There are a lot of variables to consider - e.g., head/no head, removable hands/feet.

Thanks for all the responses. Basically I have run out of wall space and added some more jerseys in the last month. I am looking to display 2 baseball and 1 football jersey on the mannequins. I was thinking torso only, on a stand. The inflatable ones look interesting and cost efficient. I am an online guy, I work and travel way to much to be able to go to a store.

Are mannequins pretty much male or female, or are there different builds? In other words, if I was trying to display a Mike Alstott jersey, are there differentials?

                  Thanks.

Do any of you know where I could find mannequins that are museum quality and designed for archival preservation? I read that most mannequin displays in time will emit gases that might compromise the garment displayed with.

Dorfman is based in Baltimore and are one of the primary suppliers of museum figures. The prices for body forms are certainly not cheap. These guys actually display at the National and some other shows as well.

Thanks. Are there any other companies you know of who sell these? Or is it just this one?

You also might consider asking a sports museum or two if they go to these lengths to protect their jerseys. Maybe I am downplaying the risk, but "mannequins emitting gases that could compromise the materials" sounds like a long shot to me, unless you are already dealing with a piece that is 100 years old and/or is fragile. Well, I hope so. I have a five-figure item on a mannequin right now, but it's relatively new.

I have heard of putting panty hose or similar material over a mannequin to reduce the chances of color transfer. I didn't do this myself.

I can't speak to gases, but I have one of these. The shipped quickly and it's pretty great
