Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier but as far as Latin American players, there will never be another Roberto. He ends his career at exactly 3000 hits, is there any other proof that it the mark of an epic hitter worthy of HOF induction is to be as good as Clemente? I say it's a fair barometer.

The first baseball I ever caught was a BP foul ball hit by Clemente (Wrigley Field, 1966). I wish I still had that.
