    ??? For Baseball Collectors

I have no clue what this is if anything. I was my Grandfathers. When he passed it went to my storage shed until today. All I know is the bat is a baseball bat. I don't collect baseball items.

One thing I do know. Is my Grandfathers Sister's Grandson was a bat boy for the Pirates in the early 70s. Here is an article with a little about him. http://oxtalks.wordpress.com/albys-archives/
Its the second one down. I do know the family was close years ago.
From a little research I do know its from 1973 or newer that is all. Any help would be great. I don't look to sell it just would like to know what it is?

Not many blanks to fill in, it looks like a gamer... 1973 is probably correct based on the stamping and when you said he was the batboy. The #7 on the bottom was Bob Robertson's number w/ the Pirates and the K55 that is stamped on the knob is the model number.

    A little more on Robertson:

Thank you. I know he was a bat boy for a few years. I know for sure he was in 71. So no way to tell what year this might be from? Ill have to do a little more digging. Again thanks

Sure thing... Sorry, I didn't realize you were asking that specifically, thought you knew the year already.

It's from the '73-'75 label period—so, 1973, 1974, or 1975 it was manufactured in. Narrows it down, but not really an easy way to tell aside from that.
