    Robyn Yount Bat

Anyone else notice this bat in the upcoming Heritage auction? Seems like a pretty obvious mistake.

Are you saying he wasn't still a rookie in the early 80's??

I think the error is they spelled his name Robin not Robyn.

I know it's only a preview auction but I'll guess the #15 on the bat is a concern since Robin Yount wore #19.

Did Cecil Cooper use Robin's bats?

Joel, I'm pretty sure what the OP was hinting at was the fact that this bat dates to the 80's, yet is declared as a rookie bat.

Yes, my first post was in jest at the fact that the title was misspelled in this thread but my second post about the number on the bat is a genuine concern.

Was it possible Cecil Cooper used a Robin Yount's bat?

I misspelled his name by accident. The auction claims it's a '74 rookie bat yet it's an '80-'83 labeling period.
Would've been nice to find a rookie.

Looks like the updated the description. It clearly stated that the item was a preview items and any errors should be notified to Heritage:

1980s Robin Yount Louisville Slugger Bat. Since Robin Yount only ordered Louisville Slugger model M110 bats during his rookie season and the labeling period of this bat is the 1980's, it would never have been used by Yount during his Hall of Fame career. "15" is markered on the knob and the bat measures 34" in length. Use is shown with dead wood on the back barrel and contact marks throughout.
