Hello everyone
I wanted to point out a jersey currently on ebay. Actually, it just ended but in case it's relisted, it's worth sharing the info
It was listed with a starting bid of $5000 as
Ken Griffey Jr Seattle Mariners game worn rookie jersey
Here's the description
Ken Griffey Jr. Seattle Mariners game worn rookie jersey
Rawlings size 46
1989 set 1
Also signed by Junior on front
Shows nice use
Will pass any 3rd party authentication
money back guarantee
When I saw the pics, it reminded me of something Howard Wolf and Rob Steinmetz wrote on the old game used forum about a similar jersey that was listed in a Vintage Authentics auction. See below and thank you Howard and Rob.

VINTAGE AUTHENTICS GRIFFEY JR. ROOKIE

I just took a quick look at the Vintage Authentics auction site, and they have some great items. One item, however, that is less than perfect is lot #23. It is being offered as a 1989 home Mariners Griffey Jr. jersey. Note the name plate. It reads GRIFFEY JR. Throughout his career, and even when his father played with him on the M's, Griffey Jr. NEVER wore JR. on his nameplate. His jerseys simply had GRIFFEY on them. It appears this jersey has a LOA from PSA/DNA, only covering the autograph. No letter from MEARS or Lampson is included.
FYI

I wrote the seller and did not hear a response. Like I said, in case it's relisted I wanted people to know what this was. Also, it's a reminder that the old game used forum has tons of great info and is a valuable resource.
Thanks
Eric
