1942-43 game-used bat. No model number on the knob, but based on the specs, it eventually became the M79. He received six late in the '42 season and three during '43 spring training... so there's a 67% chance it's a rookie bat.

That just isn't any member of the armed services, Warner Fusselle became a pretty famous baseball broadcaster in his own right (do you remember the ESPN show in the late 1980's called MLB Magazine?). Unfortunately, Warner passed away in 2012....
