67 views and not one opinion?

Just wondering why I see other bats close at $350 $400 and this one closed on the cheap. Just lucky? Is it because it was a worth and not a Rawlings or Hoosier?

I just feel like I missed an opportunity with this auction.

Snipe did not go off.

Thanks,

Glen

Glen,

Here are a few observations:

1) Frank Thomas items don't bring much money (if you are correct that his bats usually bring $350-400, please let me know who is paying these prices as I'd like to send them my bat list).

2) Worth brand bats do not sell for much, compared to other manufacturers such as SAM, L.S., Rawlings, etc.

3) This is a Thomas Chisox bat. Chisox fans are so happy to have Thomas off the team that they are still rejoicing. As a Philly guy, I can tell you that Philly collectors do not have much (if any) interest in guys like Scott Rolen or Terrell Owens (our recent versions of the Big Hurt).

Best,

Reid

I have been following them on ebay and the rawlings have closed over $300. (Just not in the last 30 day's or I would send you the link)

All of the ebay stores have them over $350. (BPH, etc)

Just looks like someone got a steal on this bat.

Wish it were me.

Thanks for your help,

Glen

Glen,

I just sent you my list. Thanks for asking for it.

As for Thomas bats, I'll point you to the next one that is selling in the $140-175 range. I wouldn't feel too bad about missing the Worth bat auction - there just isn't high demand for this type of item. As for eBay stores, sellers can ask for whatever amounts they want. The prices that are actually paid are the only ones that count. I understand that Thomas A's bats were likely a bit higher toward the end of the 2006 season, but you should be able to pick up some Thomas bats for very little over the off-season.

Best,
Reid

I just wanted to point out that the seller of the Thomas bat does not accept paypal. This may keep several buyers away.
