This "Cardenales" jersey is a team-issued shirt that was not lettered/numbered. The Cardinals wore this style during a game on 6/11/11 in Milwaukee for Hispanic Heritage Night. It's the only time in team history that the Cardinals have taken the field in a jersey with a Spanish word mark.
It's my understanding that the team made just one set of these jerseys and players were allowed to keep their own. To my knowledge, this jersey is the first and only of its kind to be offered to the public. I won it in a silent auction at the 2013 Cardinals Winter Warm Up.
The jersey is signed on front by 10 players: Carlos Beltran, Rafael Furcal, Edward Mujica, Fernando Salas, Jaime Garcia, Tony Cruz, Victor Marte, Lance Lynn, Mitchell Boggs and Jon Jay. The MLB hologram number is EK 083862.
I'm asking $500 plus shipping. That's less than I paid, but I want to raise money for something else and have taken plenty of photos of this jersey for my archives. If you're interested in this rare Cardinals jersey, please contact me at birdbats@charter.net. Thanks!
