    Joe Mauer 2004 bat question

Joe Mauer used Louisville Sluggers when he first came up in 2004. Does anyone know the LS model number he used? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I am not sure of the model he used. That member named Tay may know. Don a search in this message board for Joe mauer and email Tay when you see his name.

But Mauer did not use LVS only in 2004. He had some, but he has been using Rawlings for most of '04 and on.

Re: Joe Mauer 2004 bat question

I recently purchased a 2004 LVS Mauer bat on eBay from Tays Collectibles. It is a model I13 with significant use including multiple stitch and blue transfer marks. It has a medium to heavy layer of pine tar on the upper handle. Mauer's number '7' is in black marker on the knob. The bat is uncupped. It has a band of 1 1/2" very soiled white 'spongy' tape immediately below, but not covering, the knob (this is similar to other 2004 Mauer Rawlings bats that I have seen). It came with a COA from the Twins Pro Shop indicating that the bat was used in 2004 by Mauer. The bat weighs 32 oz and is 34" in length. Interestingly, the bat does not contain the MLB or TXP logo. I hope this helps.
