Interesting Bryce Harper Relic Card - MLB Auth

I came across this Harper "relic" card that contains a part of a number and the residue from an MLB holo.

    http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bryce...30883922874%26

The seller states that "THE PATCH HAD THE MLB STICKER ATTACHED BUT HAD TO BE REMOVED DUE TO LICENSING AGREEMENTS" - very interesting.

I wonder if the card states that anywhere or if this is the sellers words. It sure would be interesting to find out what that hologram stated before removal.

Only thing I can think of is Panini is not licensed by MLB to make cards and the hologram has the MLB logo on it. This could probably cause some sort of problem for them. They do make some nice products.

What a shame that these jerseys are being hacked up into little pieces to be glued onto cardboard.

I dont understand out of all the material on the jersey if your only cutting 25 squares out why even do it near the hologram. There plenty of material in the name on back, numbers, team name etc..

Panini should have have kept the MLB hologram for their own internal record so they can prove authenticity of the swatches.

i have seen an Andy Petitte one with the hologram still on it. Personally i think they shouldn't use jerseys or bats but use pants instead

They do this quite a bit actually. There are numerous cards that feature pieces of the inside waistband and of the stripe down the pants leg.
