'84-'85 Cal Ripken bat. This bat measures 34.5"-34.75" & 33.5 oz. This bat is slightly shorter than what he ordered during this era. Cal's bat of choice was a 35" P72 in either 33 or 34 ounces. Is it possible this bat was produced in error? Or shipped as an index bat? I'm not sure, but the bat shows strong Ripken characteristics with plenty of cleat marks and Cal's vintage #8 written on the knob. Pine tar on the handle, uncracked, light use. My guess is these bats were sent to Cal slightly shorter than what he ordered, he gave it a shot and didn't like it. Looking for $475, plus shipping. A much cheaper version of an early Ripken gamer.

'84-'85 Robin Yount game used bat. This 35" 33oz bat matches Robin's shipping records during this era. Bat shows light but definite game use, with blue ink transfers, pine tar on the handle and Robin's #19 on both ends. This was Robin's preferred bat throughout his HOF career $500 plus shipping.

The bat is a 84-85, but was obtained in the early 80s ???

Yes, the bat ended yesterday and the winning bidder asked if I would cancel his bid since he realized after the fact that it was not a 35" bat. I was more than happy to refund his money. For those of you who know me from over the years, know that I have the utmost respect for the hobby and I don't play games. I always want to make sure that all parties involved are happy with a purchase.
