Laurent Robinson Game Used From Steiner: Wrong LOA

    Hi all,

I recently bought a Laurent Robinson Game Used Jersey that is a Steiner Sports item from someone who bought it from a Steiner rep.

In short, the jersey was believed to belong to Jeff Robinson (as stated in the LOA and says its a 2005 issued jersey) but in fact, it belongs to Laurent Robinson from 2011. The GU jersey is a throwback from the 2011 Dallas Cowboys vs Miami Dolphins game on November 24, 2011.

I looked at the game pictures and the photos from gettyimages seem to match up very well with the markings on the jersey.

I contacted Steiner but they told me that I would have to send it in to get it re-examined and that I would have to pay a $50 fee for a new LOA? I was wondering why I would even have to pay a fee when the LOA was not even the right one in the first place? Do any of you have any thoughts or opinions on what I should do or any experiences with this matter? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks again!

Re: Laurent Robinson Game Used From Steiner: Wrong LOA

I got a game used Dallas Cowboys #41 Terence Newman Throwback jersey with a Steiner LOA last week. The LOA states it is a "game used issued navy throwback jersey - tagged 05 size 46" which makes no sense, plus it is totally wrong as it's a 2011 game used jersey which I have 100% photomatched to the Miami game on Thanksgiving in 2011, using Getty and NFL Gamepass screenshots.

I knew the LOA was wrong when I bought it. (Which is why I got if for such a low price as the seller listed it as a 2005 game used issued navy throwback jersey.) The seller seems to have a good few of these jerseys from that Miami game, as does the seller of your Laurent Robinson jersey. (jbean25 has a few too.) I was about to contact Steiner to see what they could do with regards the wrong LOA but live over in the United Kingdom so there is no way I will pay to ship the jersey back over to the U.S and then pay for a new correct LOA.

I have a 2011 #40 Danny McCray Throwback jersey arriving this week that I have also photomatched to that Miami game. The Steiner LOA that was photographed for the auction listing states it is a game used practice jersey. I know sometimes Steiner states items as game issued when they have infact been game used, but these mistakes we have outlined today are pretty unbelievable.
