Not only did you nab a Bryce Harper home run, but it's an Opening Day logo ball, to boot. Good job! I wonder if anyone in the Wrigley street crowd will get one next Monday when the Cubs open at home?

Sorry guys I thought people knew what I looked like thought i posted my picture before...That is my friend his name is Josh. He is a big nationals fan and he grew that beard so he could interact with Jason Werth before games.... He bought pants and everything. He knew I am a part of a game used forum and wanted me to brag for him. he is really pumped to catch that ball and he hopes to get more as the season goes along.

Here are some pictures of the ball.... Sorry I never mentioned it being for sale because I know the limit is $500 on here and when I jokingly told him I could probably get it sold for him he said he has never got a ball at a game before and the fact it was Bryce Harper's HR on opening day his memories couldnt be bought cheap.

I'd wait till after the season to sell it. Because say somehow he broke the single season HR record, the ball would be worth alot more. Or even if he has a MVP year, I think it would be worth more then it would be now. Unless he gets hurt and doesn't hit another one.

I think he is leaning towards keeping it ..... I mean that is a crazy memory... I mean honestly i dont think a big enough dollar amount could be thrown out there for a first Hr of a season ball....

Good for your friend in not selling. I've seen so many times on this board where someone shares his best sports memory and the item associated with it. Then, he gets offered a huge dollar amount and parts with what he acquired. IMO, there are some things in life you should really relish and enjoy. I've got items in my collection I wouldn't part with, if they were the last things I owned. Let BergerKing's buddy enjoy the home run baseball and have fun with that memory.

Or the ball could be worth nothing if he blows out his knee in a collision at say home plate, and never plays another game!:p Not that it will happen, but just saying!

Your friend got a mention on the Productive Outs podcast as well. Them saying the ball was caught by a "Jason Werth look a like" :)

That is very cool and Josh is a great guy. I'm glad he is holding on to the ball. I set up an interview for him and the local CBS station for an interview. Since I have been so busy in Baltimore getting ready for Opening Day I hadn't heard if they did the interview.

Again very cool and if Bryce Harper hits 50 HRs or does something else huge like win a MVP then that ball could be a valuable part of history.
