I was at the Flea market over the weekend and bought a Ted Simmons catchers mitt. The pocket lacing has came un done but I was wondering what a rough guess of the value of the glove is. I was going to relace it and use it some just for fun as I know nothing about older glove. I think that the glove may be from the late 70's or 80's so any information would be appreciated. I can provide a pic if you need. Thanks,
Johnny

Value will depend on a few factors. Condition (no torn patch, holes, cracking, name written on glove in pen, etc.), where it was made (US made gloves are significantly more valuable), and quality of construction (kids glove or plastic piping hurts value).

Assuming it's a US made glove in excellent condition (relacing doesn't hurt value) and it's adult size, the book value is listed at $35.00. It's a common glove, but that doesn't meen it isn't a good glove. Clean it up, enjoy it, and consider it an addition to your collection.:D
