I think I have this bat narrowed down to an August 25th 2012 Royals game vs Boston in which Mike Moustakas hits a 2-run triple. I am just not sure. Can anyone give me their opinion? I took a few images from Getty but can't focus in on the detail enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have more pics from Getty but thought I'd start with these.

Oops! These pics are way too big. Anyone know how I can get them smaller?

I dunno man... This picture of the 8/25/12 triple seems to have little to no mota/tar on the knob tape, at least to me it looks to be considerably less than on your bat...

Might try taking a look at USPresswire or some of the other sites for more pictures... These two from 8/21/12 may be promising...

Also, I don't think its a match on that first getty image from 8/9/2012 "150255299"... That bat has significantly higher wear going up the lower handle, almost looks like possibly the finish was sanded.

I'll have to check the other picture sites. Thank you for the info. Moose gave me that bat after the road trip to Boston. If I could get closer up on the barrel maybe I can get a match. Back to the old drawing board!

Well I did find a few more pics and you're correct; the one from 8/21 does look promising but I just can't get a very good view of the picture. It's too fuzzy when I zoom in.

Whadda ya do? Oh well...

I have tried to match 3 of my bats with dates on them but no dice. All the pics are too fuzzy. How do the people get these HD video pics that I see a lot of photo matching done with? Is that some sort of subscription service?

hey Bud, your account is not accepting PMs, so I could not respond there. Here is my response to your PM question..

I use:
apimages.com
corbisimages.com
uspresswire.com <--- better preview image quality than getty/ap/icon
iconsportsmedia.com
gettyimages.com
and one surpriser, ESPN.com if you look at Photos tab under a player profile, they have some good quality images, but usually only about 150. Have to do a print screen capture, can't right click save.
and my new favorite. zimbio.com <--- they mostly have a small-ish sub-selection of Getty, but they're better image quality at about 2mb vs 200kb on Getty... thats where those Moose photos I linked to are from, much higher quality. I've been repulling old photo matches off of there lately, just to get better images.
The other great option is trying screen grabs off MLBTV but need a subscription for that.

If I think of any others, I will let you know.

Yes I saw that when I went in there to message you and then changed it right after. I didn't think you'd respond so quick turbo. LOL.

Thanks again for the info! I will look. On the hunt again.
