Re: Chipper Jones bat Question
Proir to his Major League debut on 9/11/93, Chipper had documented orders of the following H & B models -- R161 (34 and 35 inch / 33 and 34 oz), and C243 (34 / 32).
Later, between early 1994 and mid-1997, all documented orders were 34 and 35 inch, 32, 32.5, and 33 oz model R161 H & B's.
All bats above (approximately 260 total) were block letter name. Most of the above bats had a Black Finish, with a few Natural Finish and very few Natural and 'No Finish.' Also in late 1995 there were 144 Black R161 bats (35 inches) manufactured for promotional purposes and invoiced to B.P. Sports.

Re: Chipper Jones bat Question
Between Chipper Jones' first documented H & B order on 12/23/1992 and 8/7/1997, there are no documented orders of H & B model C271 bats.
