Just when you thought you'd seen it all: The Detroit Tigers are auctioning off Jim Leyland's burned pants (http://tigers.auction.mlb.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=8197047&prmenbr=33302084&aunbr=8197047).
Apparently, he got too close to the heater, the pants became damaged, and - to top it off - you can own them.
Any bets as to how high these will go?

I'm surprised he didn't burn them smoking in his office.
A couple years ago I read an article that the interviewer wrote of Jim smoking in his Tigers office during their interview. I looked up the laws, and smoking in the workplace is illegal in Michigan.
I found it odd that no one enforced the law in Jimmy's office but normal people in Detroit have to walk outside to smoke during the working day. I found it a double standard and offensive.

Wouldn't they at most mail a generic complaint which would then be read and thrown away?... or lit on the corner and then used to light a cigarette...
